This full‑day experience leaves Venice's main island behind and heads out into the Venetian lagoon the discover the beautiful islands of Murano, Burano, and Mazzorgo. Throughout the course of the day, we'll wander the charming islands, stop to meet local craftspeople, and learn about centuries-old traditions. To make things as easy and efficient as possible, we'll travel by private water taxi as we navigate the waters.
Our first stop is Murano, world‑famous for its blown‑glass artistry. Here we visit a historic furnace, watch master glassmakers at work, and then take a look at an elegant showroom where you can see finished pieces (and shop if you wish). We then continue to Burano, the most picturesque island in the lagoon, known for its brightly painted fishermen’s houses and warm atmosphere. I’ll guide you beyond the main tourist streets to discover how the islanders live, their traditions, and the ancient art of Burano lace-making, still practiced today by a handful of skilled women. If you’d like, we can enjoy lunch in a traditional local restaurant here, famous for its excellent fresh fish.
Our final stop is Mazzorbo, a peaceful island connected to Burano by a wooden bridge. Here we’ll stroll through lush gardens, vineyards, and quiet open spaces - a perfect contrast to Burano's busy atmosphere and colorful architecture. We return to Venice by private water taxi, ending the day with unforgettable views of the lagoon.
