What an incredible experience with Guides of Italia! Our tour of Cagliari with Simone and our driver Claudio was, without question, one of the highlights of our entire trip. Simone was amazing from start to finish. He put together a great itinerary that covered the main sights while also giving us a genuine feel for Cagliari and Sardinian life. We specifically asked to avoid tourist traps, and he delivered exactly what we were looking for. He's incredibly knowledgeable about the island's history and culture, speaks fluent English and Spanish, and has a great energy that's very contagious. You can tell how much he loves his home and takes pride in sharing it with visitors. And apparently, everyone on the island knows Simone! Everywhere we went, he seemed to know someone. What I particularly appreciated was how attentive he was to my mother's mobility needs. She has some difficulty walking, and Simone made sure the pace and stops worked for her without compromising the experience for the rest of us. That made a huge difference. And a special mention to Claudio, our driver, who was equally amazing! Friendly, engaging, fluent in English and Spanish, and full of interesting information about the island. Watching him navigate Cagliari's narrow, winding streets in his Ape van was an experience in itself. And what a fun way to explore the city! To top it all off, Simone took us to a small, genuinely local establishment owned by a friend of his, where we finished the tour with an aperitif and a tasting of local specialties. Exactly the kind of authentic experience we'd hoped for. Between the incredible sights, the history, the culture, the food and drinks, and especially the company of Simone and Claudio, we couldn't have asked for a better day. If you're visiting Cagliari and want to experience the city beyond the usual tourist stops, I can't recommend Guides of Italia enough. Absolutely outstanding!

Our walking tour of Florence with Lisa was amazing!! She was so knowledgeable about the history of Florence. She also showed us some amazing "hidden gems" that we returned to later on our trip. It was just what we were looking for to get our trip to Florence started!

We had the most wonderful experience with Alessandro during our tour of Saint Mark’s Basilica and Doge’s Palace while visiting Venice! Alessandro was absolutely top-notch and exceeded all of our expectations. His incredible knowledge of the history of both sites, combined with his captivating storytelling, brought the history to life and enriched our trip tremendously. We have experienced many tours over the years, so we certainly know the difference between good, bad, and truly exceptional. Alessandro is unquestionably among the very best! We would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Venice. He made our experience truly memorable!

Paolo was a fantastic tour guide! Very knowledgeable about Matera's past and recent history. We were able to see several out of the way places, including a winemaking cave that was used for centuries, and other areas without lines of tourists. I would definitely recommend a tour with Paolo!
