One of the world's oldest art museums - it's over 400 years old! - the Uffizi Galleries is also one of the world's greatest. It houses an unrivaled collection of Renaissance art.
Here, you can see masterpieces by artists like Giotto, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Caravaggio. No other museum on earth more comprehensively covers the famed Renaissance period from the 13th to 17th century, when Florence became the artistic and cultural center of the Western world.
With 3 hours, we don't have time to see close to everything in the museum, but it's enough for a serious dive into Florentine Renaissance art. We'll be able to cover the first and second floors of the museum and hit most of its major masterpieces and most important works of art.
While I always keep my tours fun and lively, this is a serious art tour and it's best for art lovers who want to truly savor the stunning pieces here.
