Marco is an Umbria native, hailing from the small village of Terni near the region's southeastern border with Lazio. Though he's traveled all over the world, he's been based in the charming city of Perugia for over 3 decades.
He runs fascinating tours that cover the region's medieval hilltop towns and countless architectural and religious gems. But his specialty is helping travelers delve deeper into this verdant and mountain-studded land, discovering a version of Umbria that you won't find in the guidebooks.
If things like strolling through beautiful, but unvisited villages, meandering the shores of glistening Lake Trasimeno, or sampling local specialties at a working family farm appeal to you, Marco is your man.

Ciao amici miei (hello my friends)!
I'm Marco, and I'd be happy to be your local guide in Umbria. This is the region where I was born and where I've lived most of my life. I was raised in the little town of Terni, but have lived in Perugia, our capital city, for the last 35 years.
As a young man, I left Umbria to attend university in Florence, where I got my degree as an interpreter in English and German, studied political science, and took some art exams. My studies increased my curiosity for the world and its beauties, so after school, I traveled and got to know people from all over the world.
These global friends were always "my personal counselors" when I visited their countries, and that's how I learned the importance of local insight and knowledge. It's the people who live in a place that can show you its secret marvels and help you see what really makes it special. And that is exactly what I aim to do for all travelers who come to Umbria, my home!
Ci vediamo in Umbria! See you in Umbria!
