Meet Giorgio, your local guide in Sicily

Had a great day at the Valley of the Temples with Giorgio. He was a wealth of information and very helpful with suggestions on activities we should do on our own. Giorgio’s attention to detail and explanation of the various temples was fantastic. It was well worth the visit and would recommend the trip to anyone interested in learning more about the history of Sicily.

7 adults did 2 trips with Guccione Viaggi. We went to Segestra, Erice and Trapani and another day to Agrigento. He can drive as well as give the tour. Guccione has a real passion for his country. He gave us options on how to best spend our time. He shared his knowledge and zeal. We enjoyed both tours immensely.

I’ve had the most wonderful two days spent with Giorgio and tour guide from Pick Sicily. I organised to be collected from my hotel and taken to Cefalù and Castelbuono. From the very start Giorgio made me feel welcome and relaxed and safe especially as I was a solo traveller. Giorgio guided me through both towns and he was very knowledgeable about its history. My second day trip was to Agrigento. Wow what an experience! I was in awe of this historically place. Once again Giorgio exceeded my expectations on his historical knowledge. On the way back to Palermo he also took me to see the Scala dei turchi seaside cliffs. I had an exceptional experience with Giorgio. Grazie grazie grazie. I will definitely book with Giorgio again.

Giorgio of Pick Sicily was an excellent guide. He has an amazing knowledge of the history of Sicily and was able to impart that knowledge to us. Giorgio’s English is excellent and we were able to learn from him. We hired Giorgio to drive us from Palermo to Agrigento via the Temple of Segesta and a winery lunch near Marsala. Giorgio proved invaluable at explaining the history of Greek civilisation in Sicily and the role the Temple played in society. He was also excellent at selecting a great winery for lunch. We would highly recommend Georgio and Pick Sicily to anyone who wants to learn about Sicily while travelling there.

Giorgio Calò was the consummate guide and driver! My wife and I recently went on a trip to Sicily and Georgio picked us up at the airport and the next day took us for a guided tour of Monreale and Segesta, both excursions out of Palermo. He is extremely professional, prides himself in a deep understanding of the history and archeology of the area, is attentive to detail and takes the service he provides very seriously. I would strongly recommend using his services to tour that region of Sicily; a remarkable place to visit and a wonderful tour guide.
