Buongiorno a tutti! My name is Fulvia and I'm originally from Civitavecchia, a small port city near Rome. I got my tour guide license in 2012 and have been guiding in my region ever since.
I love history and art, so I am very glad to work in such a beautiful city. It may sound surprising, but even as a local my favorite monument is the Colosseum. In Rome there are countless things to see and do - the city is a literal open-air museum with thousands of years of history and civilization on full display.
Rome is much more than just the city center and a few primary monuments and museums. For anyone with more than a day or two, there are fabulous places like Ostia, Frascati, Tivoli, Etruscan ruins, the Appian Way, and many more practically unvisited sites.
I love to travel myself and have a 3 year old son, so certainly understand the complexity of planning a kid-friendly trip. My husband is Cuban so we often go to Havana to visit family and I love beaches, authentic local restaurants, and exploring places beyond just the highlights.
