Alex is an outdoors guide and travel planner based near to his hometown of Vicenza. Conveniently located in the foothills of the Dolomites but still close to Venice, Verona, and Vicenza, the region's treasures are all around him.
For over 10 years Alex has been planning and guiding tours not just in the Veneto, but also all over northeast Italy; Friuli, Trentino and the Dolomites, and even Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna.
An avid hiker and cyclist (and a truffle hunter to boot!), he specializes in tours to the region's stunning natural places and rural countryside. His goal is to take guests on experiences where they get away from the crowds, explore pristine nature, and above all else enjoy local food & wine.
He's also passionate about organic and healthy lifestyles and knows hundreds of small family-run businesses, from working farms to boutique wineries.
In addition to day trips throughout the Veneto, Alex is also available for multi-day tours throughout Northeastern Italy.

Ciao a tutti!
My name is Alex and, despite my name, I'm 100% Italian, born and raised in the Venice area. I'm thrilled that you're planning to explore my corner of Italy! And I can assure you, there's so much more than just Venice to see here.
Before becoming a guide I worked as an agriculture engineer and this sent me off to distant corners of my regions, and many places I had never even heard of. These visits gave me the chance to know many farmers and artisans, taste different local products, and explore my region's lesser known areas and hidden gems. I loved it and constantly found myself wanting to explore more of these little-visited areas. So I became I guide!
And this is what I want visitors to do too: get off the beaten path, live an authentic experience, enjoy the outdoors, and try some of of our [delicious] typical products while meeting locals. And that's exactly what my tours focus on.
The Veneto region is in a strategic position, within a few hours you have the UNESCO sites of the Dolomites with some of the most incredible mountains in the world, the hills of the Prosecco wine region, the famed Amarone wine area, glistening Lake Garda, and the stunning mountains, impossibly steep wineries and fruit orchards, deep valleys, and soaring castles of the Trentino-Alto Adige region.
I love putting together custom tours for my clients that include different components that interest them; something like a morning hike, lunch and wine tasting at a family-run winery, and then an afternoon wandering around charming little towns before wrapping up the day with an impromptu truffle hunt. Because there's so much to do in the surrounding area, when possible I always suggest spending more than just a day here.
Let's go exploring!
